The Arduino software reads and transforms these values into a real time streaming series of numbers that are then sent to a second program called Processing. Processing is the program that will read the Arduino values and communicate with Apple QuickTime to tell it what speed to play the video. From the moment the wind picks up outside to the moment the video speeds up or slows down inside there is more or less no delay. Unfortunately these programs use a large amount of computer RAM space and finding a machine capable of running my Arduino and Processing codes has been a difficult task.
