This simple device was designed to explore the relationship between beings, natural matter and the impossibility of two unrelated living organisms moving in complete scientific harmony. Giving the chance for the “puppeted” to become the puppeteer.
Man and machine force this unfeasible task and inevitably fail. The trees in this particular show are physically linked by wires and counter weights. There are an infinite number of factors to consider if corresponding motion is to be achieved, making this task seemingly impossible for the outdoor tree. (continued on next photo)
